CO₂ Splitting or Capturing

The consumption of energy in the industry and households has increased significantly. This consequently has resulted in increased CO₂-emissions. CO₂ does not only have negative effects. It can be used as feedstock in the chemical industry, food industry, and for photosynthesis (greenhouses).

We provide a sustainable technology that can be used to selectively remove CO₂ from their gas streams. The removed CO₂ becomes available as a food grade CO₂. By using this technology, clients are able to valorize their CO₂ stream and to reduce CO₂ emissions.

The current main focus is engineering, construction and commissioning of a pilot plant for cyclic carbonates. The start-up of the pilot plant is expected this year. Our partner invested in the development of a technology which produces green cyclic carbonates with CO₂ as feedstock. The project will produce a High Purity component for electrolytes that can be used, among others, in the booming European battery industry.

80% less energy

By using CO₂ from waste streams of third parties in our process, we offer Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) to businesses that want to reduce their carbon footprint. The production process requires 80% less energy in comparison to similar existing manufacturing methods.

Summarizing, our project will produce sustainable, economically feasible and high quality products. Moreover, feedstocks we use can be of biogenic origin.

CO₂ Splitting?

An even more interesting technologie is capable of splitting CO₂ into pure carbon and oxygen with quantum physic technology; the Quantum Hoyle Effect. Our Quantum Converters have different capacities depending on demand and purpose with a maximum power consumption of only 2.000 kWh per month.

Innovative CO2 removal solution. Through 13 years of research, we have made it possible to remove CO2 from the environment. While oxygen returns to the atmosphere, C remains as a byproduct. The Quantum Converter is a groundbreaking Dutch invention based on Quantum Physics. Discover how our scientific equipment pushes the boundaries of technology.

In collaboration with the University of Cambridge and the Max Planck Institute, we are working within our R&D activities on the development of a quantum algorithm that simulates the behavior of an electrochemical quantum system. This research is situated at the intersection of quantum mechanics, electrochemistry and materials science.

The goal is the creation of an artificial systems that, via quantum-controlled electrochemical mechanisms, mimic or approximate the electronic and chemical properties of natural elements. The field combines insights from quantum confinement, the control of electrochemical potentials, and the fundamental physics behind atomic processes. The only energy source used in this system is quantum light.

General characteristics:

  • Removes up to 32,700 tonnes of CO2 from the air per year!
  • Max. power consumption 2,000 kWh/month
  • Sustainably built
  • Therefore, buying CO2 credits is no longer necessary; you offset, as proven by TU Delft.
