Carbon Capture

The consumption of heat and energy in the industry and households has increased significantly over the past years. This has resulted in an increase of CO2-emissions. CO2 does not only have negative effects. It can be used as feedstock in the chemical industry, food industry, and for photosynthesis (greenhouses).

We can provide clients with a sustainable technology that can be used to selectively remove CO2 from their gas streams. The removed CO2 becomes available as a high purity grade CO2. By using this technology, clients are able to valorize their CO2 stream and to reduce CO2 emissions.

The current main focus is engineering, construction and commissioning of a pilot plant for cyclic carbonates. The start-up of the pilot plant is expected this year. Our partner invested in the development of a technology which produces green cyclic carbonates with CO2 as feedstock. The project will produce a High Purity component for electrolytes that can be used, among others, in the booming European battery industry.

80% less energy

By using CO2 from waste streams of third parties in our process, we offer Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) to businesses that want to reduce their carbon footprint. The production process requires 80% less energy in comparison to similar existing manufacturing methods.

Summarizing, our project will produce sustainable, economically feasible and high quality products. Moreover, feedstocks we use can be of biogenic origin.
