CO₂ Capturing or Splitting

The consumption of heat and energy in the industry and households has increased significantly. This consequently has resulted in increased CO₂-emissions. CO₂ does not only have negative effects. It can be used as feedstock in the chemical industry, food industry, and for photosynthesis (greenhouses).

We can provide clients with a sustainable technology that can be used to selectively remove CO₂ from their gas streams. The removed CO₂ becomes available as a food grade CO₂. By using this technology, clients are able to valorize their CO₂ stream and to reduce CO₂ emissions.

The current main focus is engineering, construction and commissioning of a pilot plant for cyclic carbonates. The start-up of the pilot plant is expected this year. Our partner invested in the development of a technology which produces green cyclic carbonates with CO₂ as feedstock. The project will produce a High Purity component for electrolytes that can be used, among others, in the booming European battery industry.

80% less energy

By using CO₂ from waste streams of third parties in our process, we offer Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) to businesses that want to reduce their carbon footprint. The production process requires 80% less energy in comparison to similar existing manufacturing methods.

Summarizing, our project will produce sustainable, economically feasible and high quality products. Moreover, feedstocks we use can be of biogenic origin.
